Frequently Asked Questions
Our dogs are all purebred golden retrievers that meet the AKC standards for the breed. They are American golden retrievers, not English (although many of our dogs are light in color). We do not produce any mixed breed variations such as golden doodles. We only breed dogs from reputable, established kennels thus breeding lineages that should be bred.
Our puppies currently cost $2,950. For puppies purchased in Minnesota and Wisconsin sales tax is also charged. Montana pups do not have sales tax.
Our goal is to produce healthy, smart, beautiful dogs that are well-suited to be family pets and/or do therapy work. We work with several therapy organizations and regularly place puppies who become service or emotional support dogs. We strive to produce calmer dogs and typically do not produce high-end performance dogs. Some of our puppies do learn to hunt, but that is not our primary goal.
We follow the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals health screening recommendations for golden retrievers. EVERY DOG has hip, elbow, eye, and heart clearances on our breeding dogs which is recommended by the OFA, as do several generations back. ALL of our dogs also have complete genetic testing to screen for health concerns.
No. Our contract strictly prohibits any breeding.
Success Stories
Pat & Russ L.
We just got back from Scout's vet check. She is terrific! Dr. Pat thinks Scout is the finest Golden pup he has ever seen! All he did was sing your praise for this fabulous pup! In fact, he did some research on your dogs and was so impressed he is sending one of his clients to you in search of a pup from one of your next litters. This is high praise indeed! Just thought you needed to hear how much everyone admires the work you put in!

We've had many dogs over the years, but Travis is amazing! Besides being adorable, he's smart as a whip, content, and loving. Your methods make it simple to house train. He knows what to do the second he gets placed outside.
Just love that little guy to pieces. You couldn't have picked a better pup for us. I can't wait to begin training classes... That boy is going to shine!

He's calm, loving, playful, content, interested, and resourceful—all qualities to desire in a pet. Many thanks to you for selecting such a fine dog for us. We are continually grateful to you and look forward to the weeks, months, and years ahead of us with him beside us in so many endeavors.

The trainer helping me with Chelsea's CGC and therapy work training is totally impressed by her. For a 13-month-old dog, she says she has never seen a golden as mellow as loving as gentle as Chelsea. She thinks she's going to be an amazing therapy dog.
