The consideration for this sale shall be the sum of $______________ plus the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
The above puppy was examined by a licensed veterinarian on _________________ and was found to be in good health. The health of this puppy is guaranteed for three (3) working days through examination of a veterinarian of your choice, at the option and expense of the Buyer. If this puppy is found to be of unsatisfactory health, and written documentation of the condition is presented, the Seller shall, provided the puppy and its registration papers are returned to the Seller within five working days, refund 100% of the purchase price to the buyers. Urinary tract infections are common and are not considered an unsatisfactory health issue.
This puppy is to be fed LARGE BREED Puppy food (Royal Canin Golden Retriever Puppy Food suggested) no longer than 12 months of age, or an All-Life Stage Food. This puppy shall not be neglected or mistreated in any manner and shall receive adequate and proper veterinary care including keeping all immunizations current, using Heartworm preventative, and having fecal checks. The Seller requires that the puppy be named with the Harvestime prefix, followed by whatever name or names the Buyer chooses.
In order to maintain a quality, preventive breeding program, the puppy will be AKC registered on a LIMITED REGISTRATION. Puppy is sold only as a pet. Absolutely NO breeding is allowed! If dog has been bred or used to produce mixed-breed (“designer breed”) dogs, the dog will be confiscated by the Owner at Buyers cost and legal fees, along with a $10,000 penalty.
Buyer will be offered the options listed below if this dog is diagnosed in writing by a qualified veterinarian before it is thirty (30) months of age as having any of the following:
1) Hip dysplasia diagnosed by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals below a Borderline Rating;
2) An inherited Eye Disorder diagnosed by a Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist;
3) Heart Auscultation revealing a moderate to loud heart murmur by a Board Certified Cardiologist.
4) Elbow dysplasia diagnosed by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
Under no condition does the refund of the dog exceed the original purchase price.
Option 1: To return the puppy along with signed Registration papers to the Seller for a full refund of the purchase price less any refunds already given.
Option 2: To retain the puppy if the puppy is diagnosed with Mild Hip Dysplasia, Mild Elbow Dysplasia not requiring surgery, or with an Inherited Eye Disorder that does not seriously impair normal eyesight, or diagnosed with a Mild heart murmur AFTER 6 months. Upon written documentation of the problem, the Seller will refund $200 within 30 days.
Option 3: To retain the puppy if the puppy is diagnosed with Severe Hip Dysplasia, if hip surgery is performed for Moderate or Severe Hip Dysplasia, if surgery is performed for Elbow Dysplasia, if an Inherited Eye Disorder that seriously impairs normal eyesight is diagnosed, or if a Moderate to Loud heart murmur is discovered, the puppy may be retained by the Buyer and 50% of the total purchase price will be refunded within 30 days, minus any refunds already given, and puppy can be kept by Buyer. Qualified written documentation is required.
Although we do our best to match personality, energy level, and temperament, there is no guarantee on these issues since socialization, life experiences, training (or lack of), and environmental issues are beyond our control.
THIS GUARANTEE ONLY APPLIES TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER.
THIS GUARANTEE IS VOID IF DOG IS MORE THAN 10% OVERWEIGHT, INCLUDING BEING OVER 30# AT 16 WEEKS.
THIS GUARANTEE IS VOID IF DOG IS SPAYED OR NEUTERED BEFORE 9 MONTHS OF AGE.
THIS GUARANTEE IS NULL AND VOID IF THE DOG OR BITCH HAS BEEN BRED.
THIS GUARANTEE IS NULL AND VOID IF ANY OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS HAVE NOT BEEN MET.
Buyer guarantees Seller first right of refusal of the dog if the dog is to be sold or disposed of in any way. If Seller does not wish to acquire the dog, Seller may assist Buyer in placing him.
Seller warrants that all puppies born at Harvestime are under my licensed control: Kennel License #268158DS. Seller warrants and agrees that she is the lawful owner of the dog; the dog is free of all encumbrances, that she has the right to sell the same and she will warrant and defend the title of the dog from all lawful claims and demands.
Harvestime Kennel will remain an interest in the life of your dog. If at any time a problem arises we will be there in any way we can. We sincerely want you to enjoy owning this Golden Retriever and that it will be mutually beneficial for you and your dog. Please keep in touch with us throughout your dog’s life, as he was our dog first and will always be important to us!
After reading and fully understanding the above terms and conditions, we find them mutually agreeable and acceptable which constitutes a binding contract. This contract constitutes the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the sale hereinafter mentioned.
