We picked up Winter in the winter of 2023 as a Christmas gift to my son Weston. Winter immediately attached herself to our family and is without a doubt one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Winter is incredibly intelligent and easy to train, she loves to play with stuffies and will fall asleep with one in her mouth at any given moment. On lazy Packer Sunday’s she won’t be hard to find because she loves to be right next to anyone that is going to pet her or just lay next to her. 

 

Our family loves upland and waterfowl hunting so prior to finding Winter it was crucial for us to find a dog that had the drive and steadiness to train for upland and waterfowl. At 5 months old I started training her on the basics of bird hunting, you’ll see her in this picture below with a pheasant in her mouth. This was the very beginning stages of Winters progression to becoming a well-regarded bird dog. Since she is only just a year old, she has lots to learn and several retrieves ahead of her. We couldn’t be happier to have found a dog that is easy going and low key in the home yet also has an assertive drive in the field.
