Hunter belongs to Rob and Heather Enigl at their Montana kennel. He and Brook are best of friends! Hunter catches on FAST to obedience and he quickly earned his Rally Novice, Rally Intermediate, Agility Course 1, Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog Novice, and two qualifying scores toward a Luring title. He also passed his CCA (Conformation Certificate Assessment) with very nice comments from the judges. He is working on more Agility titles as well! Hunter loves to please and is a fun loving kinda guy! Here is what Hunter’s former foster family writes:
“As a young family with another baby on the way, we weren’t actively looking for a new dog, but knew we wanted an adult golden retriever in the near future – a dog who’d be “good with kids”. I grew up with Goldens and my husband knew Rob Enigl through the Eaglemount adaptive ski program. When Hunter needed a family home we jumped at the chance. Hunter fills our family with joy on a daily basis. Whatever the activity, our sweet Hunter is up for it. He’s our 3-year-old’s best friend-from playing fetch, chase, and dress up to cuddling during books and TV time. He’s my favorite running partner and is always ready for an adventure outside- particularly hitting the river with us for a hike and some fetch. Hunter’s good-natured tolerance with our kids impressed us so much that we’ve begun working toward a Therapy Dog title with him. We want to share this beautiful, loving boy with others and he can’t seem to get enough loving affection. We are so grateful to Deb, Robert, and Heather for letting us be a tiny part of their excellent breeding program that brings sweet, loving, healthy Goldens to people all over the country.”
As the prior foster family grew in size, Hunter was re-homed and now lives with our foundation dog, Jazz, on a ranch where they love to play all day!
